5 Cup Salad

This was a summer staple for me growing up. When I asked my mom for the recipe she just gave me a funny look and said, "It's 5 cup salad, just remember what was in it and it's a cup of each." Okay, I felt more than a little bit stupid then. 5 cups, 5 ingredients. So easy.

Here's the 5 ingredients, use a cup of each.
-mini marshmallows
-coconut
-mandarin oranges
-sour cream
-pineapple tidbits

Mix everything together. I find it tastes best if you make it ahead of time (the morning of or the day before you serve it)

  2. Talk about easy! AND sounds good. I bet the sour cream in it really makes the salad. I'm gonna remember this one! :)

  3. That's what MY mother said. They must be in cahoots. Is she from Texas? I have that on my list to make; it's one of my favorite fruit salads.

  9. This salad used to be very popular at bridal showers and such a good while back. I haven't had it in years. Good to see it remembered and posted because I never knew what was in it.

  10. It will help if you drain the fruits before you combine the ingredients.
